The troops fighting the fire Tenerife firewhose area is already affected by 2,423 hectares, with an approximate perimeter of 26 kilometers, are fighting with two objectives before night falls: to protect the Valley of La Orotava and to control that the fire does not spread through the masses of Icod of the Wines.

On the eastern front, on the Tigaiga slope, more than a hundred members of the fire operation in Tenerife on land are close to completing a 2-meter-wide line from the Chanajiga recreational area to the dorsal and more than two kilometers long. This maneuver ensures that if the front advances tonight, it does not enter the interface zone.

The western front is the most calm within the situation. This is located in Icod. Today it has had some small progress in expanding the perimeter but it can already be thought that it is on the way to stabilization.

At this point, the land resources are anchored in creating lines of defense and supported by the carousel of aerial resources in a discontinuous manner according to the need of the extinction technician.
