The festivities in honor of Our Lady of Hope return in their 2022 edition with full normality and the main massive acts, which were absent the last two years due to the pandemic. From tomorrow, Saturday to August 13, there will be around thirty acts that will take place in the Gala for the Election of the Romera Mayor (29th), the magician’s ball Manta Esperanza (30th) and the XLVI Pilgrimage of La Esperanza (August 7) the main references. For the first time and due to the high demand, the ball of magicians will take place in the two squares of the Villa, the Adelantado and the Ayuntamiento, to gather a total of 170 tables.
Officially, the festivities will begin tomorrow with the VIII Popular Race of La Esperanza, during the morning, and in the afternoon with the opening of the exhibition Five generations preserving a tradition. The stick game and the presentation of candidates for Romera Mayor, both events at the Casa de la Cultura. To this is added, at 8:00 p.m. in the Plaza del Adelantado, the 40th Anniversary concert of the ACM Princesa Yaiza.

Among the acts recovered in this edition, the institutional fight also stands out, which will face CL Llano del Moro and CL Tegueste next Sunday (5:00 p.m.) in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. As for the main acts, they are concentrated in the two weekends of celebration: the great Romera Mayor Election Gala will take place on Friday 29 (9:30 p.m.) with performances by Chago Melián, Miriam Cruz, Virginia Torres and Edwin Rivera and the ballet formed by the champions of the Batistana Tenerife Rhythmic Gymnastics Club. On Saturday the 30th, the traditional magicians’ dance will take place (9:00 p.m.), with performances by the folk groups Amigos de La Esperanza, Andares isleños, Parranda Chasnera, Pepe Benavente and the Tenerife, Revelation de Barranco Hondo and KDTS orchestras. Meanwhile, on Sunday 31 (7:00 p.m.), the VIII Festival of Soloists with a concert by Los Sabandeños, who in the morning will star in the opening ceremony of the street that will bear their name, starting at 12:30 p.m. During the following weekend, the Braulio concert will take place on Friday, August 5 (9:30 p.m.); the Solemn Procession of the Virgen de La Esperanza, on Saturday 6 (from 7:00 p.m.), and on Sunday, August 7, the XLVI Pilgrimage, which will begin at 12:00 p.m. Along with these acts, gastronomy will also have its place with the II Potato Route of La Esperanza, from the 29th of this month to the 7th of August.
