SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 14. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The volume of public aid mobilized by the administrations linked to the volcanic eruption and the reconstruction of La Palma now reaches 501.8 million, according to the weekly report prepared by the Government of the Canary Islands.
Thus, 6,357 affected files have already been signed, 95.41% of the requests received, which add up to a total of 7,382.
231.2 million have been earmarked for aid for housing and accommodation, including 23.8 million in compensation for property –60,000 euros per home–, the delivery of 116 homes and 174 million paid by the Insurance Consortium to coast of 4,453 homes.
87.9 million have been allocated to social emergency and employment support, especially with the special employment plan of La Palma, for an amount greater than 60 million, and donations from the Cabildo and the municipalities of Tazacorte, Los Llanos de Aridane and El Paso that reach 17.8 million.
The report also shows that companies and the self-employed have received a total of 70 million led by the more than 26 million paid by the Insurance Consortium and the 14.6 million received by the banana subsector.
Other aid, valued at 112.5 million, includes 38 million for the new coastal highway, 15.3 million to mitigate damage to biodiversity or 9 million for emergency desalination plants.
