Ten students from the municipal gym Kim Galdar they achieved ten medals at the Open Arona 2022, on the island of Tenerife, becoming one of the few clubs in Gran Canaria to participate in this event. Iker Caballero García in the pre-cadet B -30kg category and Besay Diepa Estupiñán in the cadet -45kg category won gold medals.
On the other hand, Neizan Caballero García in the pre-cadet category B -33 kg, Julen Sosa Saal in the cadet category -45 kg and Yacomar Socorro Armas in the senior category -68 kg reached silver medals. Finally, Lucas del Carmen Gutiérrez Moreno in the pre-cadet category A -57 kg, Yerover Socorro Armas in the cadet category -49 kg, Zaide Diepa Estupiñán in the junior category -51 kg, Yone García Armas in the junior category -55 kg and Pablo Boza Barroso in the junior category -68kg signed bronze medals. Professor Yacomar Socorro Armas assisted Arona as delegate and coach.
