A man has been transferred to Hospiten Sur in serious condition after falling into the sea in an area of rocks on the beach of Puertito de Adeje this Wednesday. As the Emergency and Security Coordination Center of the Government of the Canary Islands points out, the events took place around 12:48 p.m., when an alert about the event was received. Lifeguards in the area rescued the affected person from the sea, near the shore, provided first aid and carried out resuscitation maneuvers. The man, recovered from near drowning, presented severe head trauma at the time of initial care.
Due to the area in which the affected person was located, Firefighters evacuated him on a nest stretcher to the place where the ambulances of the Canary Islands Emergency Service were located. Then, the SUC staff assessed and assisted the affected person who, after being stabilized, was transferred by medicalized ambulance to Hospiten Sur.
