Santiago del Teide opens the inscriptions for the Camino de Santiago, Ruta Jacobea Tinerfeña 2022

The City Council of Santiago del Teide, in collaboration with the different municipalities through which the route crosses, announces that registrations for the Camino de Santiago, Jacobean Route of Tenerife 2022 which will take place on July 23 and 24.

The departure of this current edition is scheduled for 08:00 am on Saturday, July 23, from the Parish of Santiago Apóstol de Los Realejos, passing through such emblematic places as Realejo Alto-Mirador de La Corona-Los Campeches-El Lagar- View of San Felipe-Cueva de la Hiedra-Coladas del Volcán de Garachico-San José de Los Llanos, following the path through forest tracks, trails, traditional paths and some stretch of asphalt.

On this first day of the tour, it is expected to arrive in San José de Los Llanos (El Tanque), at 7:30 p.m., where the covered sports center will be available for the night, with showers and toilets; and the recreational area, in camping. On Sunday, July 24, the departure will be made first thing in the morning from the Plaza de San José de Los Llanos, to arrive, around 10:30 a.m., at the end point of the route, which is the Hermitage of the Apostle Santiago in Valle de Arriba and the subsequent transfer to the Main Church in Santiago del Teide where a mass will be celebrated.

Participants will have bus transportation to get to the starting point, which is the Parish of Santiago de Los Realejos from the following points and times:

* From La Laguna, at the old bus terminal in San Benito. Departure time: 7:00 a.m.

* From Santiago del Teide, in the Plaza de la Iglesia-El Valle. Departure time: 7:00 a.m.

* From Icod de los Vinos, Alteza/Lamp Factory car park (near the island ring exit roundabout). Departure time: 7:30 am.
