CC criticizes that the Tenerife Motor Circuit is still stopped

The group of CC-PNC in the Council of Tenerife warns this Monday that the works of the Engine Circuit of Tenerife still standing today and demands the celebration of the monitoring commission of the workswhose first meeting should have been held on July 1 as approved by the majority of the plenary session in May 2022.

The nationalist counselor, Verónica Meseguer, points out in a statement that “the works of the first phase of the northern access are still stopped”, when the works should be completed in May 2021.

The north access road to the circuit has a layout of approximately one kilometer and starts at the TF-647, ending at the limit of the plot owned by the Cabildo that will be used for the circuit.

Verónica Meseguer points out that “work has stopped” and there is only one person working, the security guard.

He denounces the opacity on the part of the PSOE Y citizenswhich have not held the monitoring commission for the works, as agreed at the plenary session in May.

“In the motion approved on May 27, it was agreed to create the works monitoring commission and the first meeting had to be held on July 1. It seems that Pedro Martin y Arriaga they are kidding the federations, entities, political groups and the fans because they have not complied with what was approved”, add.

The motion approved in May 2022 establishes that all the political groups of the Cabildo must be represented on the commission, as well as a representative of the Inter-island Automobile Federation of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (FIASCT), Canarian Automobile Federation, Inter-Insular Motorcycling Federation, Canarian Motorcycling Federation and the Royal Automobile Club of Tenerife (RACT) and officials from the Cabildo area in charge of the construction of the Motor Circuit.

It was agreed that the commission would meet bimonthly so that the Federations, entities and groups would be informed of the status of the Motor Circuit project, “but the PSOE and Ciudadanos are failing to comply and failing to comply with the commitment they acquired with the Federations, athletes, groups politicians and motor enthusiasts”, regrets the minister.
