The PP requests “to promote the map of strategic projects for Tenerife.” The popular councilor in the Cabildo, Manuel Fernández, points out that “with the review of the Teno-Rasca Special Conservation Zone we are risking the future of maritime communications between islands.” He refers to the fact that this new design would not preserve a space for the port of Fonsalía.
Fernández recalls that the State Government is reviewing the ZEC Teno-Rasca, “in which they eliminate the window for the construction of the future port of Fonsalía, which was in the 2011 document.”
“With Fonsalía, we are in the same box as we were 30 years ago, without a single stone having been moved”, states the counselor. Fernández recalls: “The Cabildo and the Government of the Canary Islands let the project’s environmental impact study expire.”
