More than fifty children participate this week in the summer campus of the Insular Athletics Center of Tenerife (CIAT), located in the capital’s Tíncer neighborhood. The Cabildo facility offers 350 places for seven weeks so that the little ones can play sports in a different and fun way.
The insular counselor of the area, Concepción Rivero, visited the campus, in which 52 children participate. The facility, which is managed by the public company Ideco, offers these 350 places between June 27 and August 12.
Rivero points out that “this campus gets children to do physical activity outdoors while they start practicing a sport as complete as athletics and in cutting-edge facilities like these.”
The camp comprises seven weeks, but one or more can be chosen independently. On Fridays they close with an activity in the mountains or on the beach to practice sports activities such as hiking, orienteering or fun games in the water in a natural environment.
