The Department of Fairs, Celebrations and Pilgrimages of the Town Hall of the Villa de San Juan de la Rambla, coordinated by the mayor Priscila Díaz (PSOE), presents the calendar of events that represents the return of the San José festivities after the stoppage forced in 2020 by the pandemic of the Covid-19. The program will be carried out respecting the strict sanitary measures established to guarantee the safety of the attendees.

«From the Department of Celebrations we assume the development of the festivities making an enormous effort so that we can enjoy the celebration of the copatron without renouncing the mandatory sanitary measures. As we did with the festivities of San Juan Bautista last June, all events will be organized following a detailed security plan, carried out by a specialized company, which includes the limitation of capacity, the control of the safety distance, the obligatory use of the mask and the obligation to make a prior reservation of free admission “, according to the mayor ramblera.

The events to be held with a ticket reservation begin on Friday, September 10, from 20:00 hours, with the monologue of the comedian Omayra Cazorla. On Saturday the 11th, at the same time, it will be the turn of the concert of the rock group Los Vándalos. On Sunday the 12th, at 12:00, the little ones will be able to enjoy the show El Planeta loco, by the clowns Mimí and Floon, and on Monday the 13th, the big day of the festivities, at 11:00 in the morning, it will take place the solemn Eucharist. All these events will take place in Plaza Domingo Reyes Afonso. Ticket reservations are now available on the movticket.com platform and at the Culture office.

Without reservation of place, but respecting capacity and distance, it was already possible to enjoy this Saturday at the Municipal Sports Pavilion of the IV National Badminton Tournament in the TTR Sub 13, 17 and absolute categories, which is organized by the Badminton Club of Tenerife with the collaboration of the municipality and the Canarian federation of this sport. In addition, the Los Jayos exhibition, created by the participants of the Campus en el Campo, will be available in the Plaza de San José from September 10 to 14. The first gastronomic contest Una Villa de Sabores, which seeks to choose the best tapas among local restaurants, will take place from the 11th to the 19th of this month.

The sports offer of the festivities is completed with the La Torreta-Galería Vergara trail, that leaves from the La Tahona recreational park to explore the best landscapes of Mount Ramblero. To register for this route, you must contact the Culture area.

There will be no pilgrimage of San José, but the Department proposes to maintain the contest of enrame with pilgrimage motifs of facades and balconies throughout the municipality, rewarding the three most original, and the proposal that each neighbor upload on Saturday the 18th to their social networks «Your favorite memory of any edition of the pilgrimage with the label # 26RomeríaSJR».
