The Canary Islands Audiovisual Cluster and Proexca organize the second edition of the Advertising Film Forum in the Canary Islands

The Audiovisual Cluster of the Canary Islands and Proexca, public company attached to the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Employment of the Government of the Canary Islands, have organized the second edition of the Advertising Film Forum in the Canary Islands, which will bring together from July 4 to 7, in Gran Canaria and Tenerife, directors of production companies and advertising agencies from the Canary Islands and the Peninsula, as well as representatives of collaborating public institutions. This Forum has the support of the Film Commission of Tenerife and Gran Canaria and the Association of Advertising Producers of Spain (APCP).

The objective of these conferences is to encourage the main national advertising agencies get to know the producers and Canarian companies of service and of content creation, in addition to visiting some of the most representative natural spaces of Gran Canaria and Tenerife and other locations that can become sets, to carry out any type of filming of advertising spots or photo shoots.

In this second edition, whose call closed on June 23, 10 national companies and 16 companies from Gran Canaria and Tenerife will participate. Local businesses will not only participate in the networking scheduled but may be added to the family trip that is planned to be carried out on the two islands, in order to have a closer relationship with the heads of the national companies that will visit the islands.

The agencies and production companies that will travel as guests from different parts of the Peninsula, especially from Madrid and Barcelona and some of them with offices in cities in Europe and Latin America are Harold Entertainment, Antistatic Europe, Landia, Agosto, Bambina Films, Garage Film, David The Agency, Only 925, Craft and La Joya Producciones.. In addition, the Forum will be attended by the general director of the APCP, Adriana Piquet, who will lead a talk for local companies.

The 16 Canarian production companies that will participate in this second Advertising Film Forum are, for Gran Canaria: Magnetic Films, Seven Islands, Lucky Island Films, Macaronesia Films, Volcano Films, Alventio Audiovisuales, Las Hormigas Negras, Islas Producciones and Welab and for Tenerife: Solworks, La Creme Films, Canary Islands Productions, Locationow, Glow Films Entertainment, Boudika and El Hombre Invisible Films.

The first day of this second Advertising Film Forum will take place on Monday, July 4, in Gran Canaria. The program will begin at 8:00 p.m. with a reception that will be attended by the heads of the collaborating institutions. On Tuesday 5, the day will begin with breakfast and a networking of the national production companies invited with the local production companies and with institutions of Gran Canaria.

On Wednesday, July 6, the program will take place in Tenerife, where national production companies will participate together with local companies, in an institutional reception, at 8:00 p.m. The morning of July 7 will begin with breakfast and a networking.

The Canary Islands stand out for their conditions as a natural set, for the variety of its landscapes and the good weather it has throughout the year, in addition to the tax benefits offered to filming on the Islands. The Archipelago has a wide network of companies and professionals to carry out the production of all kinds of filming.

In Gran Canaria and Tenerife, according to data from 2021, provided by both offices of the Film Commission, there were 178 advertising productions, of which 90 were in Gran Canaria and 88 in Tenerife, with an estimated investment of more than 12 million euros. euros. Every year the international brands that choose the Canary Islands destination to carry out their productions increase. Major brands such as Porche, Pronovias, Zara, Wolkswagen, Hiunday, Honda, Luis Vuitton or Ives Saint Laurent, had locations in Gran Canaria and Tenerife as venues in 2021.

The expectations for this year are very good since, in the first 5 months, brands such as Loewe, Asus, Hermes either Adolfo Dominguez They have campaigned on both islands. The service of these campaigns, run by international agencies and producers, are carried out by local producers who also produce directly spots for advertising campaigns of commercial brands of the islands and nationals.

In the first edition of the Advertising Film Forum, 29 local companies and eight national production companies that work for such important clients and brands as Audi, Toyota, Mapfre, Burger King, Unicef, Nespresso, La Caixa or Nestlé participated. All the participants highlighted the great potential of the islands to carry out advertising shoots, both for the variety of its natural landscapes and the locations they visited, as well as for the human and technical teams and service offered by Canarian companies in the sector.
