The resurfacing of the Los Cardones-Airport section, on the South Highway (TF-1), will begin tomorrow. The Cabildo de Tenerife will undertake the resurfacing of four kilometers of the TF-1 motorway heading south. The insular counselor for Roads, Enrique Arriaga, asks drivers “to be cautious when driving if they have to circulate on the TF-1 at night, since there are going to be detours”, and recalls that “every morning normality is restored in this high-occupancy highway ».
As is customary, the Cabildo will establish and signpost the provisional detours that will be enabled to facilitate circulation and guarantee driving safety in the area while the work lasts, which will be carried out at night, starting at 10:00 p.m. hours and ending at 6:00, to minimize inconvenience to drivers. The work of that week will end on the morning of Friday the 10th.
On this occasion, the resurfacing will be carried out in the section between kilometer 56.4 and 60.2. Work will be done on the fast lane and the outer shoulder, where the milling and spreading of the intermediate layer will be carried out. The detours this week will affect the connections from the Los Cardones exit and the Tenerife South Airport.
