SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 29. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Ministry of Public Administrations, Justice and Security of the Government of the Canary Islands published this Wednesday in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands (BOC) the resolution of the General Directorate of Public Function approving the provisional list of the 1,638 successful bidders corresponding to the contest of merits of the Public Administration of the Autonomous Community, in which 4,723 jobs were offered in the different bodies and scales that make up the Public Administration, to which 1,711 applications were submitted.
Said resolution establishes a period of ten working days, starting tomorrow, June 30, to present the claims that are deemed appropriate regarding the provisional award agreed by the Evaluation Commission appointed to assess the merits of the contestants, You can consult the list on the web: https://www3.gobiernodecanarias.org/aplicaciones/sirhusprocs….
Likewise, within the aforementioned period, the participants not obliged to compete may submit their resignation to the position awarded and, therefore, to their participation in the competition.
The merit contest, which in some bodies and scales had not been held for more than ten years, was convened by the General Directorate of Public Function on June 28, 2021, through a resolution that was published in the BOC two days later, which also collected the specific bases that have governed it.
The holding of this contest, long postponed, as has already been said, was one of the first commitments made by the Minister of Public Administrations, Justice and Security, Julio Pérez, at the beginning of this legislature and became a legal mandate that The Government of the Canary Islands imposed itself through Decree Law 6/2019, of October 10, which set June 2021 as the deadline for the call for the contest. In addition, some court rulings had ordered, for their part, the holding of the competition, in response to claims from public personnel.
“It can be said, modestly, that we have fulfilled a commitment. We still have other very important ones that are in the process of being fulfilled, but this was one of the first that we assumed,” said the minister, who pointed out that now “a new challenge, which is to hold contests regularly, with the periodicity required by law”.
