SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 28. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Institute of Social and Socio-Sanitary Care of Tenerife (IASS) has launched a call for subsidies amounting to 100,000 euros for the island’s toy libraries, with which it is intended to equip them and provide them with material to guarantee the quality of this service.
This item may also be used to improve the facilities of the centers based on the different programs that are developed in them.
The Minister of Social Action of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Marián Franquet, believes that “this is a new opportunity to continue improving the resources and services that the island has to care for boys and girls”.
In addition, he values municipal management and explains that “we must attend to the realities taking into account many factors and the context in which they live, we must give more personalized attention, that is why it is the childhood professionals of each municipality, of each region, the appropriate ones to assess the needs of the centres”.
Likewise, it highlights in a note the work of the IASS Childhood and Family Unit and the effort of the Insular corporation to continue promoting social care.
“The Cabildo de Tenerife has shown its involvement with society, a job that goes beyond intentions and that translates into figures, projects and results,” he says.
Along these lines, he explains that this item “represents a significant increase compared to the last call of this type, in 2020, with an increase of almost 30%”.
Applications will be formalized digitally through the official form that can be found on the website of the Insular Institute of Social and Socio-Health Care (https://www.iass.es/impresos-y-solicitudes/subsidies/) and must contain a description of the investment project for which the grant is requested, containing detailed information necessary for the valuation.
The criteria for the distribution of these aids will attend to different issues, such as the attention capacity of the center, the age range of its users, the length of the hours or the services defined in the specific educational project of the toy library.
The deadline for submitting applications will be 20 business days from the day following the publication of the abstract of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province, which took place this Friday, June 24.
