The National Police arrested a 30-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of possession of prohibited weapons and drug trafficking in the north of Tenerife. The action was possible thanks to citizen collaboration, upon receiving an email in the account [email protected], where he was alerted to the suspicion that such activities could be carried out in a home. The agents began the procedures to verify the facts and, after verifying their veracity, began the investigation of the Alchemy operation.
The investigators obtained a series of indicative elements that directed a suspect to La Victoria de Acentejo, who had a 38-caliber revolver seized with evidence of having been modified. The weapon was found in the defendant’s vehicle.
Later, the national police officers asked the La Orotava Investigative Court to enter and search his house, where a 9mm caliber pistol was found. new, with charger and several cartridges, ready to be used, as well as cash, precision scales, bags with a white substance to adulterate drugs, a certain amount of cocaine and other usual items in retail sale.
Once again, citizen collaboration was key to clarifying the facts.
