El Rosario will once again celebrate the eve of San Juan with bonfires. Tabaiba will star in a party night to which the City Council calls to go avoiding the private vehicle and making use of public transport by bus. For it, titsa reinforces line 138 (Santa Cruz-Radazul Bajo-Tabaiba) with the increase in seats on its afternoon departures and with four more trips back to the Santa Cruz de Tenerife interchange from Tabaiba, at 10:40 p.m., 11:40 p.m. 01:00 and 02:15 hours.
The local government issues a Proclamation in which it communicates the closure to vehicle traffic of Avenida Marítima, from its intersection with Calle Inglaterra -except for residents-, starting at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow. The last bus stop prior to the delimited area of the party is the one located on Belgica street, in front of the Tabaiba Baja dog park, from where you will have to walk to the end of the street and go down the stairs towards the Tabaiba puddle. .
On the other hand, from 8:00 a.m. today, parking is prohibited in the parking area of the Charco de Tabaiba, a space set up as a party venue. Both the Tabaiba Festival Commission and the El Rosario City Council emphasize the need to go to the area of Avenida Marítima well in advance.
This year, to the traditional sardines and the popular floating bonfire is added the enabled cave located in front of the Tabaiba puddle as an altar for the image of the Saint, a carving that had been kept by a group of residents of the area for more than a decade in the absence of an appropriate place to be exhibited.
This event, which can be described as historic, will be celebrated with a Eucharist and a procession along the Avenida Marítima at 7:00 p.m. Tomorrow night will be enlivened by Rumberos FM radio, the batucada and percussion of Mambisa and the Reve group. The night will end with a pyrotechnic show that, for the first time, will have a low noise impact to affect people with hearing hypersensitivity and pets in the closest housing estates as little as possible.
The events will begin around 9:00 p.m., with a sardine for all attendees, the musical show by the Mambisa rosario group and the lighting of the floating bonfire, by divers from the El Pejín Diving Club, at 11:00 p.m.: 00 hours.
