SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 20. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The football match played yesterday between CD Tenerife and Girona FC resulted in seven administrative sanctions, four of them for ticket resale, as reported by the Canary Islands Police Headquarters.

The meeting, valid for promotion to the First Division, was held without major incidents to report, in an atmosphere of coordination between fans in which the National Police only had to intervene on seven occasions.

Despite the tension that emanated from the meeting and the presence of numerous fans in the streets of Santa Cruz who gathered in the vicinity of the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium and the Plaza de España, and the arrival of nearly 400 fans from the group visitor, only proposals for administrative sanctions were raised.

In total there were seven interventions, two for the sports law, for throwing objects and consumption of narcotic substances inside the stadium, four for resale of tickets for the law of shows and recreational activities and a proposal for a sanction for infraction minor of Organic Law 4/15 of the protection of citizen security for lack of respect and disregard towards a member of the National Police in the exercise of their functions.

The deployed device, with approximately 150 police officers including members of citizen security, with three groups from the Police Intervention Unit, judicial police, information and specialized units such as aerial means, which provided a helicopter and anti-drone systems, together with the good behavior of the citizens and the collaboration of the Local Police of the capital of Tenerife, was a resounding success.
