The rescue device organized by Salvamento Marítimo for the alleged disappearance of a bather on the coast of Varadero (Candelaria) last Saturday has been deactivated when the affected person presented himself at the Civil Guard facilities.
Sources from the armed institute point out to Europa Press that the man went this Sunday when he realized that a search had been organized and explained that the confusion was due to the fact that after entering the water he did not pick up his personal belongings again – specifically a watch and some ccholas– which prompted the citizen alert and a call to the security services.
Helimer 205, Salvamar Tenerife, the ‘Pico Teide’ patrol boat of the Civil Guard, divers from the GEAS and troops on land from the Civil Guard and Local Police participated in the search device this weekend.
