The emergency services have been searching since the late afternoon of this Saturday for a bather who disappeared after going into the sea on the coast of the municipality of Candelaria (Tenerife), sources from Maritime Rescue have informed Europa Press.
It was the Civil Guard that alerted the Tenerife Rescue Center around 8:00 p.m. about a person who would have left flip-flops and a watch on the rocks before bathing, a person who had not been seen again.
Thus began a search involving ground personnel and the Benemérita’s ‘Pico Teide’ patrol boat, as well as the Helimer 205 helicopter and the Salvamento Marítimo ‘Tenerife’ salvamar.
Before sunset, the resources had to leave a search that was resumed at first light this Sunday with the same means of the previous day plus the divers of the Special Group of Underwater Activities of the Civil Guard (GEAS).
