A 50-year-old hiker had to be rescued this Saturday after suffering a fall on the Afur path, within the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, according to the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 112.
The man presented a moderate lower limb injury that prevented him from continuing on the road, so the GES helicopter rescued the affected man and transferred him to Tenerife North Airport.
A basic life support ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) was waiting there, whose staff stabilized the man and took him to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.
