SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Cabildo of Tenerife, through the Institute of Social and Socio-Health Action (IASS), has reported this Friday that next Monday it will open the day and occupational centers that depend directly on the island corporation once the island has dropped to level 3 epidemiological alert.

Thus, activity is resumed in the occupational centers of Valle Colino and Verodes, as well as in the day centers of the Hospital de los Dolores and the CAMP Reina Sofía de Güímar.

In the latter, the incorporation of users will take place gradually, to the extent that transport routes are recovered.

The insular institution has made an effort to contact relatives this Monday and facilitate their incorporation as of Monday.

Likewise, the IASS Dependency Attention Unit has contacted the entire network of subsidized centers to report on the actions that are being carried out and to make itself available to offer advice if required.

Each direction must decide the opening, and there have been many centers of the network that already this Friday have confirmed the opening next Monday, they specify from the corporation in a note.

The Minister of Social Action, Marián Franquet, assures that, from the entity dependent on the insular institution, they are “aware” of how important the opening of day centers is for their users – the elderly and people with disabilities– , as well as for their families, “to whom it allows conciliation in many cases.”

The counselor reiterates that “the announced measure only affects the centers managed directly by the Cabildo, and it will be those responsible for the rest of the centers on the island who determine whether or not to reopen, and, if carried out, when it will occur. “.
