The Cabildo de La Gomera allocates 2 million euros to the new cooperation plan with the municipalities

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 11. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Cabildo of La Gomera and the island’s six municipalities have agreed on the distribution and biannual nature of the Plan for Cooperation in Works and Services of the Island Institution, aimed at financing projects at the municipal level to inject public resources into the local corporations of the island.

This was explained by the president, Casimiro Curbelo, after the meeting held with the mayors, in which he was informed of the provision of two million euros for this purpose.

“This financing tool aims to attend to each municipal reality and promote the execution of projects of interest following the established axes, which are aimed at energy self-sufficiency, the optimization of supply networks and the incorporation of service vehicles to the mobile fleet. “, advanced Curbelo, who indicated that now it will be the city councils who submit the proposed actions.

Likewise, he highlighted the relevance of having public resources for these purposes and valued the degree of collaboration that exists between the island’s public administrations to advance on a common roadmap for the Cabildo and municipalities. In this regard, he recalled that during the last plan, 16 projects were promoted with a budget of 1.6 million euros.

Regarding the distribution of the current two million, Agulo will receive 143,589 euros; Alajeró will have 220,102 euros; Hermigua will receive 220,559 euros; San Sebastián de La Gomera will have 704,645 euros; Valle Gran Rey has set an amount of 411,2097 euros; and Vallehermoso, 299,806 euros.

During the meeting, together with the president, the Minister of the Presidency and Municipal Cooperation, Cristina Ventura; the mayor of Agulo, Rosa Chinea; the mayor of Alajeró, Manuel Ramón Plasencia; that of Hermigua, Yordán Piñero; that of San Sebastian, Adasat Reyes; Ángel Piñero, from Valle Gran Rey; and Emiliano Coello, from Vallehermoso.
