The Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has published this Wednesday in the Official State Gazette (BOE) the announcement corresponding to the start of administrative concession procedures in the port of Granadilla to install a natural gas and green hydrogen power plant, as well as as its annexed facilities, at the request of the entity Sampol Engineering and Works SA

Puertos de Tenerife announces in a statement that said company requests the granting of an administrative concession of an area of ​​78,530 square meters, of which 77,200 are located in Functional Area II and the remaining 1,330, in Functional Area I of the port public domain.

More specifically, with the publication in the BOE, explains the public entity in the note, the project competition process begins in relation to the aforementioned request from Sampol Ingeniería y Obras SA, which means that the companies or individuals interested in the execution of a similar project, or located in the same port public domain, have one month, starting on Thursday, June 9, to present their projects to the Tenerife Port Authority.

During this procedure, and in accordance with article 85.1 of the Consolidated Text of the State Ports and Merchant Marine Law, the confidentiality of the projects and the documentation provided will be respected at all times.

In the event that alternative applications are presented, it will be the Board of Directors of the Port Authority that will solve the one that, in its opinion, has a greater port interest. If there are no other projects, the procedure will continue with procedures such as public information on the initiative under development, concludes Puertos de Tenerife.
