SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 9. (EUROPE PRESS) –
Chanel Terrero, guest artist for the Gala of the Queen of the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife that is celebrated this Friday, highlighted this Thursday at a press conference that she is preparing “something very special” and is “very keen to show it”.
The Spanish representative at the last ‘Eurovision’ festival was enthusiastic about the idea of showing the public, after days of rehearsal, her show, remarking that she had no doubts about performing in Tenerife because she had seen the gala at her home in other occasions and he was always struck by “both the feathers and the brilliance of fantasies”.
“Little things are coming,” she indicated, stressing that she and her “children” –in reference to the dancers– are “very happy” to be able to share the performance with all the people of the Carnival.
Its choreographer, Kyle Hanagami, has assured that it is very difficult to find in the artists all the qualities that are found in Chanel.
“She is a great dancer, a great singer, a great artist, but above all she is a great person and together, including the dancers, we form a great family,” he pointed out.
The mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, has confirmed that he hopes that the expectation that Chanel has created will become a “historic performance, as other international artists have done before Chanel, because he performs in the best Carnival in the world and thanks to his presence he will have even more visibility.
For his part, the Councilor for Fiestas, Alfonso Cabello, reported that all the hotel and vacation home spaces are occupied on the dates of the Street Carnival, which will begin on June 23 and end on June 26.
“There is an increase in maritime and air frequencies for those dates. So everything is ready for tomorrow to kick off a very atypical Carnival,” he said.
The artistic director of the Gala, Enrique Camacho, has commented that the show will be innovative in many aspects.
“We will see a different gala, because the groups also demanded it of us, but above all, all the numbers that we will see are new, and it is made with great enthusiasm and I cannot help but thank all the groups that participate because they do not have obligation to do so, and they have given their best to achieve it”, he commented.
At the same time, Camacho highlighted the involvement of both Chanel and Kyle Hanagami “first of all understanding what Carnival is and what groups do it, to adapt the performance of ‘SloMo’ to a choreography that will surprise “.
In fact, he pointed out, “if someone expects it to be the same as what they saw at Eurovision, they are very wrong, above all, thank you very much for treating all the groups so well.”
