The Fairground is filled with Carnival at the opening ceremony

The mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Manuel Bermúdez, presided over this Friday the opening ceremony of the city’s Carnival that took place in the Tenerife Fairgrounds. The event was conducted by the presenter Elvis Sanfiel, accompanied by the current Carnival queens, who gave way to the current candidates for Carnival queen in the three modalities to collect the numbers that give them their starting position in the three contests.

In a show in which different Carnival groups participated, characters and artists known to the general public such as Míriam Reyes, Anaé or Pepe Benavente, the emotional moment of the show was, without a doubt, the tribute that the Carnival groups wanted to pay to Geni Afonso who, as the plaque they gave him said, is an icon of Carnival, which has always been present in that part of the Carnival that is not usually known by the general public. Dancer, choreographer, director of galas, Afonso assured that all her life she has done the Carnival “with love, because it is what I like the most in this life”.

The first of the appointments will take place on June 10, at 9:30 p.m., with the Election Gala of the Queen of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The candidates presented themselves to the public surrounded by the interpretation of the talented Jess Fraser who, located on the stage provocateur, surrounded by glass pearl screens and accompanied by a grand piano, took the public to the pocket interpreting the theme Easy On Me of Adele. The order in which they will finally parade their fantasies will be:

1.- Maite Gutierrez Febleswith fantasy My life. My dream. Euphoriaby the designers Caví Lladó and representing Cortes y Pliegues Tenerife Folder Stationery Almacenes Casa Ángel

two.- Jesica Fajardo-Plasencia, with kiss freedom of RP Designers on behalf of Grúas Torre Fajardo and Bodytime gym

3.- Jennifer Maria Garcia Garciarepresenting Malidente SLU, with the fantasy To dream againdesigned by the Nira Association;

4.- Amanda Quintero Lugo with Dressed in the Sun Tin Quintero, representing Ferretería Las Pirámides and Ferretería Castro Delgado;

5.-Tania Pérez de la Rosarepresenting El Gusto Por el Vino and Dormitorum SL with the fantasy the monarch by Juan Carlos Armas;

6.-Marta González Pérez, which will represent McDonald’s and El Día-La Opinion de Tenerife, with a fantasy by Daniel Pages called The Sky in the Background.

7.-Noelia Adriana Veiga Diazwith fantasy Victory!!!designed by Jonathan Suárez and representing the Cabinet of Aesthetics Africa and Victoria and Kiosko La Constitución;

8.-Naomi Álvarez Fajardorepresenting Fuentealta with the fantasy Estrella, by Jorge González Santana;

9.-Idayra Borges Tenarepresenting Tecnocasa with the fantasy of Alexis Santana Rodríguez, paradise

10.-Yanira Morales Plasenciawhich will represent the Alcampo La Laguna Shopping Center with the fantasy of Sedomir, next to me;

eleven.-Ruth Gonzalez Martinwhich will carry the design of Santi Castro Look at me!!representing the Añaza Carrefour Shopping Center;

The candidates for queen of the elders, whose gala will be held on June 12 at 5:00 p.m. at the Fairgrounds, will go through in this order:

1.- Francisca Navarro Mendozarepresenting Turismo de Arona, with the fantasy In another skinby David Alfonso

2.- Maria Magdalena Hernandez Tostewith fantasy Return of the Nira Carnival Cultural Association, representing the City Council of Los Realejos

3.- Juana Pérez Sánchez, with a design by Alexis Santana Rodríguez called my great weaknessto represent the Santa Úrsula Open Commercial Zone

4.- Angeles Ramos Diaz, with fantasy Rafaelladesigned by Antonio Santos to represent El Corte Mágico, Solar Canarias Self-Sustainable and the City Council of Tacoronte

5.- Candelaria Goya Goywhat will the called fantasy look like Welcome to Paradisedesigned by David Hernández, on behalf of the El Sauzal City Council.

6.- Evelina de la Fuenteon behalf of the City Council of Granadilla with the fantasy of Santi Castro J’Aime Paris

7.- Carmen Rosa Martin will represent the City Council of Villa de Arico with the fantasy The star that shines brightest designed by David Hernandez

8.- Maria del Carmen Ramos Quintero on behalf of the Center for Alternative Therapies Orotherapy and a fantasy called Touching the skydesigned by Alfonso Baute;

The Children’s Queen Election Gala will be held on June 19 at 6:00 p.m. at the Fairgrounds. The candidates will parade in this order:

2.- Jennifer Valeria Martin Morando of the Association La Barca Toscal Longuera and a fantasy by Armoni de la Rosa with the title Reawakening in Carnival Times

3.-Candela Rodríguez Martín with a design by Ana Isabel Portocarrero called A Party in My Gardento represent Hola El Paso and El Paso City Council

4.- Ainhoa ​​Diaz Morales with fantasy And I finally found you by David Hernández on behalf of Construcciones y Reformas NS.
