SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 2 (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has transferred to the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office the “unsuccessful” steps taken by the Canary Islands Tax Agency to collect the four million euros allegedly scammed by the company RR7 United with a mask contract signed in May 2020.

This was announced this Thursday by the spokesman for the Executive, Julio Pérez, at the press conference after the Governing Council in which he recounted the 13 actions carried out by the Agency, with an embargo request included, and which for now reflect the ” impossibility” of finding assets in order to try to recover the money, which with late payment interest is already close to five million euros.

Pérez has commented that “if the insolvency continues” over time, the Government will undertake “complementary actions” to try to recover the money and will demand them from both the company and its possible administrators.

He also commented that the affected company has proposed to the Canary Islands Health Service (SCS) to resume relations and the supply of masks, an option that has already been rejected because “there is no contractual relationship” and the objective is to collect the debt.

It has also indicated that the Ministry of Health has requested an extension from the Audience of Accounts to answer the draft of the report that it has prepared on the contracts signed by the Autonomous Community during the state of alarm.
