UD LAS PALMAS – CD TENERIFE: The fans of UD Las Palmas heading to Tenerife for the derby: “Chicharrero who doesn’t bounce!”

fans of the UD Las Palmas They left at three in the afternoon this Wednesday, June 1, heading for Santa Cruz de Tenerife on the ferry from Fred. Olsen that started from Agaete pierin Gran Canaria. They plan to arrive at the Santacrucero pier around 4:30 p.m. after an 80-minute journey by sea.

The C.D. Tenerife has given 700 tickets to UD Las Palmas for this first leg of the ‘Playoff’ for promotion to the First Division of Spanish football.

After arriving at the Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Gran Canaria fans will be escorted by the police on the way to the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadiumwhere they plan to arrive around six in the afternoon to attend the meeting, a historic derby both for UD Las Palmas and for CD Tenerife. Never before had either of the two teams played a match in a ‘Playoff’ of these characteristics. Once at the stadium they will be placed directly in the area for UD Las Palmas fans.

The match has been declared high risk by the Permanent Commission of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport. More than 150 national police belonging to the Prevention and Reaction Unit, TEDAX, the Police Intervention Unit, Underground or Dog Guides will ensure the safety of the derby. Helicopters and drones are added to the special security device.

Agents from the Civil Guard in the Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and from the Traffic Association in Gran Canaria, members of the Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and private security also participate in the operation.
