Concepción signs up for Ramis’ plan: “UD is the favourite”

Miguel Concepción has experienced twenty official derbies since he became president of Tenerife in February 2006, but none like the two that will be played this week. One thing is that they are held within the League calendar and another that they serve to take the winner to the final of the promotion to the highest category. Hence, yesterday he placed the label of maximum importance on these two duels. “This is more than a derby,” he said.

The leader referred to a “great” event, a tie that he wanted to analyze “from the point of view” of the value it will have as a promoter of a “great Canarian football festival.” Then, focusing his assessment on what could happen on the field, Concepción limited himself to indicating that “the one who has the most success and makes the fewest mistakes will have the privilege of going to the final.”

Reviewing the recent trajectories of the two teams, he stated that, “on paper”, the Sports Union is “favorita”, but recalled that “this is more than a derby” and that all streaks, good and bad, “also change.” Ultimately, he shared his enthusiasm for what is to come. “We are excited, and play,” added the top leader.

As for the response of both hobbies, he did not overlook that the yellow is “very plugged in”. “We go a little slower,” she admitted. “The game will be free for season ticket holders and I think we will have a good ticket,” she said, hoping for a full house at the Heliodoro.
