SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 30 May. (EUROPE PRESS) –
A 35-year-old man has been seriously injured after going off the road and overturning his vehicle in the municipality of La Aldea de San Nicolás, in Gran Canaria, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1- two.
The event occurred shortly after 5:00 p.m., when the 1-1-2 received an alert informing of the overturning of a vehicle after going off the road on the GC-173, next to La Aldea beach, and that afterwards there was fallen down a slope and caught fire.
Once the emergency resources were activated, three ambulances and the medical helicopter from the SUC, a doctor from the Health Center in the area, firefighters from the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium and the Civil Guard traveled to the scene.
Once at the scene, the health personnel provided initial assistance to the affected person and, once stabilized, they prepared his air evacuation for his transfer to the Dr. Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria, where he was admitted with serious injuries.
The firefighters extinguished the fire in the vehicle, which was completely burned, and the Civil Guard agents instructed the corresponding proceedings.
