Last days of the II Gastronomic Route ‘Taste the May Festivities’

On May 31, the II Gastronomic Route will conclude Taste the May Festivities, in which 71 restaurants in Santa Cruz participate. This was announced by the CEO of the Development Society, Alfonso Cabello, who held a meeting yesterday with chefs and managers of six participating establishments in order to promote and disseminate the attractions of this gastronomic proposal that aims to make visible the wide gastronomic offer available the city.

In this way, the mayor explained that “the route, which started on May 10, has registered high participation rates, both from restaurants, with 71 registered establishments, and from the public, as can be seen from the webapp metrics www.degustalasfiestasdemayo.comwhich integrates interesting novelties such as the possibility of creating personalized routes, geolocating establishments on the map, customer evaluation of tapas, as well as information on the premises, the tapas on offer, the ingredients and the opening hours. that each local dispenses the cover”.

In this informative meeting, held at El Lagar de La Noria and with the participation of chefs and managers from the Guannabi, Mar del Norte, La Chachi, Terraza Parque, Baco and Lagar de La Noria establishments, Cabello pointed out that “ the web app has registered very relevant data such as 15,635 unique users, 25,851 total visits, 1,402 registered users to rate the tapas, and 1,231 votes have been counted”, and added that “the communication and dissemination campaign has reached 3,237,392 impressions in Google Ads , while on Facebook and Instagram 793,261 impressions have been registered”.

“This route can be enjoyed until May 31, it has restaurants from a large part of the capital, so it is a wide and attractive offer, which takes place within the framework of the founding festivities of the city. , and with which it is intended to position Santa Cruz as an outstanding point of Canarian gastronomy, and whose details can be consulted on the webapp hosted on www.degustalasfiestasdemayo.com”, reported Cabello, who stressed that “in addition, on this occasion we have succulent prizes for people who come and value the tapas on the route”.

In this way, the mayor informed that “all the people who come to the gastronomic route, register in the web app and value a minimum of three tapas, they will enter several draws, including a gift voucher for dinner for 2 people to enjoy at the Gourmet Market of the 5-star Iberostar Selection Sábila, valued at 80 euros; a round trip boat ticket to travel on any of the inter-island direct routes for 2 people and 1 car, courtesy of Fred.Olsen Express; and a basket of products valued at 75 euros, courtesy of the Mar DeNorte restaurant”.

Finally, Alfonso Cabello recalled that “the second edition of this gastronomic route is organized by the Development Society, it is based on zero kilometer products, it consists of a tapa and a drink for 3.5 euros, with the possibility of having it at the local or pick it up at the establishment to taste it at home and contemplates numerous prizes for the clientele who visit the participating establishments”, and concluded that “we encourage neighbors and visitors to go to the participating restaurants, taste the wide variety of tapas and check the high quality of our gastronomy”.
