SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 18 May. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Ministry of Education, Universities, Culture and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands will proceed, once authorized by the General Directorate of Public Function, to cover new positions for non-teaching staff of different categories to carry out the implementation of the first Cycle of Early Childhood Education provided for in the Strategic Plan for the First Cycle of Early Childhood Education in the Canary Islands (0-3 years) to incorporate 34 dependent centres.

The selection of personnel will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the resolution of January 28, 1992, of the General Directorate of Labor, by which the III Collective Agreement of Labor Personnel of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands is made public.

Specifically, the reserve lists of the required categories available in this Department will be used in the first place, and in the event of non-existence or depletion, those of other ministries will be used.

If there are no places, it will be processed through a job offer before the Canary Islands Employment Service, for which the interested persons must be registered as job seekers (both as unemployed and in a situation of job improvement).

The profiles include that of 34 educators (Group III), whose required qualification is Higher Technician in Early Childhood Education or other declared equivalent (such as Technician or Technical Specialist in Kindergartens, Specialist in Educator or Early Childhood Educator, branch Community Services, or Superior in Early Childhood Education).

In addition, 34 caregivers will be required (Group IV), who must have the title of Graduate or Graduate in Compulsory Secondary Education or similar, or Technician or Technician or equivalent, as well as possess a food handler card.

Likewise, among the workforce, the incorporation of 20 complementary service assistants is expected.

In this case, the required degree is Graduated from school; Professional Training of the first degree or similar, and be in possession of the food handler card, in addition to two kitchen assistants with a school certificate or equivalent, who are in possession of the aforementioned card.

These qualifications will be accredited with a title or provisional supplementary certificate issued by the educational center where the studies were completed, which will replace the title and will enjoy the same value for the purposes of exercising the inherent rights.

In addition to these categories, teaching staff from the Teachers’ Corps in the Early Childhood Education specialty will also be required, and for this the employment lists of the Ministry will be used.
