The Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has reported through its official Twitter account that the tunnel of the Avenue Three of May It will remain closed to traffic between 9:30 p.m. this Monday and 5:30 a.m. this Tuesday for maintenance work.
Every day thousands of vehicles circulate through the Tres de Mayo Avenue tunnel, known as the Juan Amigó de Lara tunnel, as it is one of the main roads that give access to the North Highway (TF-5) towards La Laguna.
The alternative for drivers is the road that is on the surface of the Avenue itself, which will not be affected by maintenance work.
