SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 13 May. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the area of Employment, Socioeconomic Development and Foreign Action, will allocate 240,000 euros to grant aid for the creation of business initiatives that generate jobs on the island.
The councilor Carmen Luz Baso highlights in a note that the objective of this subsidy, the call for which will be published shortly, is to finance part of the expenses involved in starting up new businesses, giving priority to those related to the industry, “a sector strategic for the diversification of the insular economy and for the promotion of a qualified workforce”.
The counselor also adds that “the budget for this year’s call represents an increase of 14% compared to 2021 and there is the possibility of expanding it by an additional 100,000 euros to try to meet all the requests that are submitted.”
According to the bases published this Friday in the Official Gazette of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (BOP), all those SMEs incorporated in Tenerife between January 1, 2021 and September 31, 2022, regardless of their economic activity.
The amount of the subsidy established for each project ranges between a minimum of 3,500 euros and a maximum of 8,000 euros, depending on the jobs that are generated, whether they are of an indefinite nature and whether the hiring of workers with a degree of disability of 33% or more.
