The project to recover and rehabilitate the historic House of La Gorvoranain the environment of Toscal Longuera, will cost more than 4.5 million euros. This figure is one of the main conclusions of the meeting held yesterday by the Real Estate Government (PP) with the drafting team of a project that will attend a new call for European funds to try to obtain the necessary financing.
The drafting team, headed by the architect Fernando Arocha-Ferreiropresented his advances in the study and technical document to the first deputy mayor, Adolf Gonzalez; the Councilor for Culture and Historical HeritageElizabeth Socorro, and municipal technical staff. Arocha is the winner of the drafting of the project after a tender procedure valued at 101,650 euros, co-financed by Municipality of Los Realejos (20%) and Council of Tenerife (80%) through the Island Plan for Artistic Heritage.
Adolf Gonzalez He advanced that “the real estate government will present this project to an already open call for competitive European funds for the rehabilitation of municipal buildings for public use, since it is an opportunity to finance the execution of works that, given their high cost, will hardly be able to be executed exclusively with municipal funds.
The exhibition held this Wednesday included an exhaustive analysis and historical description of the hacienda and its surroundings, in which all the historical background, heritage values, construction elements of the property, its evolution over time, as well as a detailed analysis of the state of conservation detail of each and every one of the elements of the building.
“From the local government we are as satisfied as we are excited about this project that has fallen to a magnificent team of professionals with extensive experience in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of historic buildings. They are going to put on the table an ambitious project to match the importance of this landmark property for our municipality”, he valued Adolf Gonzalez.
The tender for the drafting of the integral reform project of the house of La Gorvorana provides for the necessary intervention for the rehabilitation, conservation, consolidation and restoration of this heritage building, which will house dependencies and services that will cover the large auditorium that is planned to be built on an adjoining plot. This includes A cafe open to the patio, toilets, ticket office, cloakroom, an administrative office area, exhibition and multipurpose room, conference room with capacity for up to 100 peopleclassrooms for training and a space for overnight stays in short periods for a maximum of 8 people with a common toilet and small rooms with different cultural or educational uses.

This project of The Gorvorana contemplates a diagnosis and prognosis of the state of conservation; a proposal of the intervention from the theoretical, technical and economic point of view; the methodology, techniques and materials to be used; the impact on the protected values and the preventive measures to be adopted, where appropriate. Likewise, it will include a maintenance plan, the estimated execution period and a technical execution project, in accordance with the regulations to which a property of these characteristics must comply, whose cadastral value is 860,000 euros.
