The Summer Carnival of Puerto de la Cruz confirms the presence of Marta Sánchez at the gala for the election of the king of the summer party. The Porto City Council presents the most ambitious project of the festival with a clear objective of international projection. With destiny as the protagonist of it, the Tenerife Summer Carnival, which will be held from 6 to 12, tries to become the great showcase of the party on the Island.
Its celebration at the end of the summer campaign is unique in the Canary Islands and its main objective is to orient its celebration towards tourism, reinforcing the cultural and economic ties of Puerto de la Cruz, its value for the tourist promotion of the municipality with its own signs of identity that contributes to the development of the business fabric and the image of the destination.
Enrique Camacho directs the development of the Portuense Carnival. Among its objectives is to turn the Summer Carnival into one of the most important events of the year. In fact, the Councilor for Festivities, Alberto Castilla, recalls the pioneering nature of Puerto de la Cruz in the celebration of Carnival, so “it is fair and necessary for the city to regain the prominence it had with regard to the mask festival and its role in promoting tourism ».
