They ask Manuel Domínguez to resign in Los Realejos

The PSOE and Podemos in The Realejos They demanded the mayor Manuel Dominguez (PP)that “he now resigns from the mayor’s office” for his “political activities incompatible with municipal management, after having been appointed president of the PP of the Canary Islands, a position that has definitively distanced him from the northern town with increasingly notable absences”, to Podemos judgment.

The purple formation believes that «Domínguez should follow the example of his national leader Alberto Nunez Feijoowho last week elegantly resigned from the presidency of the Government of Galicia, after having taken possession of the presidency of the Popular Party, given the evident impossibility of reconciling both positions. An identical circumstance to what happens with the leader of the popular canaries ».

The spokesman for the Socialists in the Municipality of Los RealejosMiguel Agustín García, also asks the mayor to “choose between complying with his people or defrauding his neighbors”, and regrets that “there are already three plenary sessions that Domínguez has not presided over, which casts doubt on his priorities at the head of the Corporation”.

The PSOE understands that “if he is not up to the task of dedicating himself to being mayor 100%, let him give way to other people who do want to work, and may he be very lucky in what he undertakes, but Los Realejos does not deserve to hear so often the accidental expression mayor because the mayor is in other matters».

“This was coming”

The spokesman for the Socialists, Miguel Agustín García (PSOE), assures that “this could be seen coming, because by running for two positions we already knew that he was going to end up not fulfilling his commitment, and from the PSOE we understand that a mayor should not have any commitment stronger or higher priority than with the neighbors who have placed their trust in him to manage the municipality”.
