The Ministry of Education, Universities, Culture and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands has published the Order that includes the instructions to establish the procedure for exempting payment of the public price for taking the Baccalaureate Evaluation test for University Access ( EBAU) for the 2021-2022 academic year to students from families with few resources.
The measure is intended for students in the 2nd year of Baccalaureate and Higher Level Training Cycles of Vocational Training, Professional Education in Plastic Arts and Design, and Sports Education who prove that they do not exceed the economic thresholds established in this regard.
Specifically, the income limits may not exceed 10,527.43 euros per year in the case of a family unit made up of one person; of 14,738.40, if there are two; 20,633.76, for three; 28,887.26, if there are four, and 40,442.16, in the case of five members.
In order to accredit the requirements to obtain the exemption, it must be presented through face-to-face or telematic means at the center in which the student had obtained the title that gives him or her access to the test or in which he or she is enrolled. in the 2021-2022 school year (if different from the one in which the degree was obtained) the personal income tax certificate for the 2020 financial year, if you have the obligation to declare. Otherwise, an income allocation certificate corresponding to the 2020 financial year, issued by the AEAT, will be presented for each member of the family unit.
In extraordinary cases, any of the above certifications may be replaced by the provision of a responsible statement, signed by the interested person, if they are of legal age, or failing that, by another member of the family unit, who expressly authorizes to the Educational Administration to collect, on their behalf, the corresponding certificates.
Once the requirements to obtain the exemption have been accredited, the secretary of the center will authorize the registration in the test (EBAU) and will issue a certificate with the nominal list of the students, which will also include those who are entitled to the corresponding exemption or deduction for large family.
Before September 30, 2022, the universities will send to the General Directorate of Universities a certification that reflects the number of people who benefit from the exemption detailing the members of a large family, and an application for financial compensation will be attached. to proceed with the corresponding transfer.
On the other hand, students who have obtained a subsidy, aid, income or resource in order to face or cover the expense corresponding to the fee for carrying out said test by any Public Administration will not be eligible for this payment exemption. , given its legal incompatibility.
