Hundreds of bathers have taken advantage of the good weather this Saturday to take a dip at Las Teresitas beach. The truth is that temperatures have remained pleasant throughout the day in practically the entire province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, ranging between an average of 26 degrees Celsius in Tenerife and a minimum of 16 degrees in El Hierro.
People want summer, something that is palpable in the environment. And probably tomorrow the high influx of people will be repeated in the main swimming pools and sandbanks of the Island, including Las Teresitas beach. According to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), the thermometers will suffer a slight rise in the southern interior, where they could exceed 30ºC.
As for the wind, it will blow from the moderate northeast on the coasts and will be somewhat more intense in the extreme west and southeast slope. In the midlands and summits, it will have a weak to moderate eastern component.
Yellow warning for high temperatures in Fuerteventura in Gran Canaria
The AEMET has activated the yellow notice due to high temperatures, up to 34 degrees, next Monday on the islands of Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura.
The yellow warning in the Canary Islands will be in force from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, and affects the summits, east, south and west of Gran Canaria and the island of Fuerteventura.
The heat will be especially noticeable in the inland areas of both islands and on the southeast slope of Gran Canaria.
