An 44-year-old man of Spanish nationality and with numerous police records, he has posed as a false occupational risk inspector to collect new first-aid kits in companies on the island of Tenerife. The National Police has informed the public, especially those establishments open to the public that are required by law to have a first-aid kit or similar, of a new mode of fraud recently detected.
The researchers were aware of two different complaintsfiled last April in The lagoon, along with others carried out in the towns of Adeje Y Cross port. In them, scams carried out in establishments through the same modus operandi were brought to light.
An individual, posing as Inspector of Occupational Risks or similar, entered the establishment under the pretext of supervising the change of medicine cabinet. After gaining the trust of the staff, he proceeded to change it, charging amounts that could reach up to 380 euros.
To make it more truthful, he provided a supposed invoice that collected the service provided. In all cases, the scams committed were for an amount less than 400 eurospossibly to avoid police arrest in his case.
The investigation of the National Police managed to identify the man and relate him to several acts committed in different localities of Gran Canaria, Lanzarote Y Tenerife through the same procedure.
researchers they do not rule out the appearance of new affected after these facts are known by the public. The proceedings have been brought to the attention of the competent judicial authority.
The actions were carried out by national police officers from the La Laguna National Police Station.
