The red tajinaste is an invasive species on the island of Gran Canaria. This species is native to Tenerife, says El Coleccionista de Instantes, author of this video, which he recorded on April 30 in the surroundings of a private property on the summit of Gran Canaria. He recalls that, despite its beauty, it should be eliminated due to the risk of hybridization with its own species and adds that the REDEXOS project of the Government of the Canary Islands has its own website and an App to report sightings of invasive alien species.
