SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, May 2. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Cabildo de Tenerife has approved the Human Resources Strategy 2021-2023, a document prepared in collaboration with the Institution’s staff to improve the public services provided to citizens and which affects more than 7,000 workers.

According to the second vice president of the Island Corporation and Minister of the Presidency, Finance and Modernization, Berta Pérez, “it is a participatory document that includes 18 projects and more than 40 actions and that focuses on the organization, motivation and professional qualification of the workers of the Cabildo and its public sector, aware that it is the institution’s greatest asset to respond to the needs of citizens”.

Berta Pérez has stressed that the document, which was approved this month by the Governing Council, seeks to “establish a model of continuous improvement related to the planning, organization and management of the human resources of the Insular Corporation, which guarantees the necessary structure to adequately develop the skills assigned to us”.

The counselor wanted to remember that its development complies with the provisions of the motion presented by the socialist group and approved by the insular plenary session, in which it was proposed to design a strategic plan that would allow integrating the objectives of the institution with those of the staff, promoting coordinated work and improving working conditions.

For her part, the insular director of Human Resources, Lidia Pereira, highlighted the high participation that has been registered during the open process for drafting this strategy, “in which we have collected nearly 900 contributions from almost half a thousand employees and public employees who have intervened both in the definition of the strengths and weaknesses from which we start and in the proposal of the actions that we must implement”.

Lidia Pereira explained that the actions included in the Human Resources Strategy are related to five axes or lines of work aimed at strengthening leadership, internal management, digital transformation, talent management and staff service. She added that its development entails a monitoring and evaluation plan, which includes regular meetings and the preparation of an annual report that includes the degree of execution and the results obtained with each of the projects.
