Santa Cruz has addressed the General Directorate of Coasts up to three times to request that the body rule on the request to extend the concession of The Little Teresitas, which expired four years ago, during which time he has not obtained a definitive statement from Costas on his request. Yesterday, the Plenary, unanimously of all the groups, approved a motion presented by the mayor of Infrastructures, Dámaso Arteaga, to demand that Costas respond, officially, to the letters sent and reiterated by the City Hall of Santa Cruz.
Arteaga admitted that they no longer know what to do for Costas to rule on the request to renew the concession for another 60 years and whose approval they need to undertake improvements in the management of the beach.
Thus, in the agreements, Costas is urged to extend the concession for the occupation of the maritime-terrestrial public domain for the maintenance, conservation and development of the beach for the period of those 60 years. In addition, it is requested to incorporate the kiosks that currently exist on the sand into the concession, as well as to request their collaboration in the declaration of port of insular interest, including for this purpose the delimitation of the anchoring area.
