Hemodonación travels the Archipelago to promote blood donations and cover hospital supplies

The Canary Institute of Hemodonation and Hemotherapy (ICHH)attached to the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, will enable different spaces for blood donation in the municipalities of Buenavista del Norte, Guía de Isora, La Orotava, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Agüimes, Arucas, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Telde, Puerto del Rosario and Arrecife.

Requirements

To donate blood you can go directly or you can request an appointment by calling 012 or 922 470 012 / 928 301 012 (option 8), from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. or by filling in the form published on the cover of the web effect donacion.com. Before going to donate, it is advisable to review the information published on this same web page in the Information and Protocol tab, to familiarize yourself with the established security measures and the self-assessment test.

The ICHH also reminds that people vaccinated against COVID-19, with both one and two doses and the booster dose, can donate blood after 48 hours of inoculation.

Where to donate in Tenerife

On Saturday, April 30, the fixed extraction point of the San Isidro Health Center, in Granadilla de Abona, will be operational from 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Also the Provincial Bank of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, at Calle Méndez Núñez, 14. The hours will be from 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

During the next week, donors will be able to go to the new point located in the El Trompo Shopping Center in La Orotava (sector 10, Las Arenas, exit 36 ​​of the TF-5, next to China Town). This point will be operational on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Friday from 9:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It does not open on Tuesday due to a holiday.

Another extraction team will go to the Sala Granero in Plaza de Los Remedios, number 7, in Buenavista del Norte. The schedule will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. On Monday, May 2, the collection will begin at 10:30, and on Friday, May 6, this point will be operational from 9:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Also during the next week, a temporary donation point will be located in Guía de Isora from 9:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 4:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. As an exception, on Monday the collection will begin at 11:00 a.m. and on Thursday it will be operational only in the morning shift.

Finally, on May 5 and 6, the ICHH will visit the Carnival Groups, in the street of La Noria in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, located in the rehearsal room of the Los Diablos Locos murga. On Thursday the schedule will be from 3:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 3:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

As for the fixed points, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife extractions will be carried out at the ICHH headquarters on calle Méndez Núñez, number 14, from Monday to Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and from 3:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. hours (it has a ford for donors).

You can also donate at the San Isidro Health Center, in Granadilla de Abona, from Monday to Thursday from 1:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This point has a parking space reserved for donors and the telephone service is through the number 677980518, except holidays.

With regard to the fixed points of the Canarian Transfusion Network, at the University Hospital of the Canary Islands you can donate from Sunday to Friday and holidays from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and at the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., except holidays.

Where to donate in Gran Canaria

A team from the ICHH will continue to be active in the Alisios Shopping Center, next to the Management, on the first floor, on Calle Hermanos Domínguez Santana-carretera Nueva a San Lorenzo, number 15. On Monday and Tuesday the hours of this extraction point will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and from Wednesday to Friday it will be active from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. On Saturday, April 30, it will remain open between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Also during the next week a campaign begins in Agüimes. It will be at the La Zafra Shopping Center, on floor 2-local 17-, in front of the municipal office, on Avenida de Ansite, number 113. The hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. :30. On the first day of the campaign, the collection will begin at 9:45 am.

Until Tuesday, May 3, the temporary donation point will be operational at the Arucas Retirees Club, active on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. and Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

In addition, the fixed point of the Alcampo Shopping Center is maintained, in Telde, which will open on Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

Also on Thursday, May 5, an extraction team from the ICHH will go to the Binter Canarias company, on Calle Cañón del Ámbar s/n, on the Gran Canaria 1 motorway, from 9:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

In addition, on May 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., they will visit the IES Santa Lucía, on Avenida de la Unión, s/n, in Vecindario.

As for the fixed blood collection points, the ICHH makes its headquarters available to the population at calle Alfonso XIII, number 4, in the capital of Gran Canaria, from Monday to Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. 3:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., except holidays (it has a ford for donors).

You can also go to other fixed points of the Canarian Transfusion Network such as the Maternal-Child University Hospital of the Canary Islands from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; the University Hospital of Gran Canaria Dr. Negrín from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria, where you can donate from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., except holidays (there is a ford for donors in both cases).

Where to donate in Fuerteventura

Next week the campaign for the Las Rotondas Shopping Center in Puerto del Rosario, located on floor 3, local 22 of this commercial space, continues. Hours will be Monday through Wednesday from 3:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday and Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In addition, you can donate at the General Hospital of Fuerteventura, where the fixed blood donation point of the Canarian Transfusion Network is located on the island. This point will also be operational from Tuesday to Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. To donate, it is convenient to request an appointment at the number 928 546 684.

Where to donate in Lanzarote

Next week a campaign to promote donations will be launched in Calle Real de Arrecife, next to the old Cabildo. The schedule will be Monday from 4:15 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. On Thursday and Friday, the mobile unit of the ICHH will move to the Cabildo Insular, on Avenida Fred. Olsen, where he will serve donors from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

In addition, the fixed blood donation point of the Canarian Transfusion Network at the Doctor José Molina Orosa University Hospital remains operational. Hours will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. To donate it is necessary to make an appointment in advance at the number 928 59 55 72 option 3.

Where to donate on La Palma

The University Hospital of La Palma has a fixed collection point where you can donate by appointment from Monday to Sunday, including holidays, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Where to donate in El Hierro

The Hospital Insular Nuestra Señora de los Reyes has a fixed collection point where you can donate on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (except holidays), by appointment by calling 690 886 059 or 922 553 500 .

Where to donate in La Gomera

The Hospital Insular Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe has an extraction point where you can donate blood from Monday to Wednesday, between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and on Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (except holidays). It is necessary to make an appointment in advance by calling 922 140 200 or 922 140 213.
