Tenerife Digital Nomad (Tednomad) celebrates its first stop at Lago Martiánez de Cross port from June 2 to 5. nomadism digital and the way in which technology affects our lives will be the protagonists of analysis and reflection in a new series of international festivals dedicated to a future that is ever closer.
Tenerifeone of the ten most requested destinations for remote workers and digital nomads, will host the inauguration of this new format of festivals that will offer conferences, round tables, concerts, meetings, and a thoughtful reflection about the changes that new technologies will generate in our environment and, especially, at work. The Island also appears in the top positions of Nomadlist -a reference for digital nomads from all over the world- and it is the only Spanish island that obtained the distinction of Smart Destination.
The event of free and free entry, will also be a nomad and will have its itinerancy in Malaga at the end of this year. Together, these two editions will serve as a space for reflection on an expanding phenomenon. It is estimated that, in 2025, 75% of the workforce will be nomadic.
Digital Nomad Fest, which aspires to lead the most outstanding events in the technology sector in Spain, will function as a learning laboratory to focus on all aspects of smart work, from the bureaucratic challenge that any self-employed worker has to face or visas, to how to deal with personal relationships in a nomadic environment. This first summit dedicated to creativity and technology will host some of the brightest minds in the digital world,
Programming
Some of the outstanding figures of this first edition are: Dan Lyons, North American journalist, senior editor in some of the most important media in the world, who will talk about his misadventure in the startup business. One of the most famous ‘hackers’ in the world, Marcus Hutchins, will participate in the festival with a presentation on cybersecurity. The American, recently released after an FBI arrest, is known for his blog ‘MalwareTech’ and cracked the code of one of the deadliest computer viruses in history. Under the title ‘Are we safe on the internet?’, the computer scientist will hold a dialogue with one of the greatest specialists in hacking and technological law, the lawyer susana gonzalez.
Dror Poleg, author and speaker focused on the future of work, money and cities. His work is based on more than two decades of practical experience in private equity and technology. Dror is the founder of Hype-Free Crypto, co-founder of the Real Innovation Academy, and author of Rethinking Real Estate.
The scientific and economic popularizer Marc Vidalfamous for his highly inspiring interventions based on the paradigm shift proposed by technology, will be another of the speakers at this first stop.
In addition, in this first edition of Tednomad, the travel blogger mike swigunskithe online work guru and advisor to Remote Europe and Remote Portugal, Goncalo Hallthe creator and CEO of the dating app Soulmates, Aline Dahmedthe expert in Artificial Intelligence of the multinational NVIDIA; Asier Arranz, the co-founder of COliving Hotels, Mario Zamorano, or the head of the Government’s High Commissioner for Spain Entrepreneurial Nation, Francisco Poloamong many other protagonists.
The activities will not end when the conferences are over. Digital Nomad Fest is also committed to organizing parallel activities in an ‘Off’ section of the festival. The first confirmed is the concert of black ice creamalter ego of the North American artist with Ecuadorian roots Robert Charles Lange, who will present his seventh studio album, ‘Far In’ (2021) at Tednomad-This will be his only date in Spain. In the same way, Los Pilotos, the alternative project of the members of The planetsFloren and Banin, will offer a concert based on their latest work, ‘Alianza Atlántica’, they will be joined by the composer Angel Stanich and other artists to be announced.
