The capital dresses up to celebrate the Santa Cruz May Festivities filling their gardens with multi-colored flowers. Thus, in addition to the natural flowering of jacarandas, tipuanas and other trees, those acquired through seasonal flower supply contracts are added, which will allow the planting of 49,000 flowers ranging from begonias, kalonchoes, petunias or daisies and geraniums.
The flowers of this campaign, launched by the Public Services area, directed by Carlos Tarife, has been distributed along Las Ramblas, Avenida Reyes Católico, Plaza de Santo Domingo and Plaza del Chicharro. They have also been planted on the main avenues of Parque García Sanabria, Rambla de Pulido, Villalba Hervás, Pérez Galdós or José Hernández Alfonso, among others.
In the next few days, planting will take place in Robayna, Bethencourt Alfonso, as well as in Plaça de Weyler. The first week of May will end the supply in Príncipes de España, Sobradillo, Barranco Grande, La Gallega, or San Andrés.
