The CC-PNC group of the Cabildo proposes the reduction of fuel prices during 2022 with the aim of helping families and sectors most affected by inflation. The nationalist spokesman, Carlos Alonso, explains that “there is a margin from the point of view of income, since one of the levers to be activated is the levy established by Law 9/2003 in favor of the Cabildos on the price of fuel ».
Alonso understands that “this would generate a positive impact both on the purchasing power of consumers and for the sectors most affected by the rise.” The CC spokesman, who presents a motion in the Presidency and Social Action Commission, points out that “the fiscal ordinance regulating said exaction of the Cabildo is set at 2 cents per liter, the maximum allowed by law.” Its reduction or temporary suspension “would allow to alleviate the economic situation”. The annual value of the transfer would reach 10 million euros, the estimated tax expenditure based on the annual income forecast in the 2022 Budgets.
