SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 23 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –
A 32-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were seriously injured around 5:20 a.m. this Saturday after the collision of two cars on the TF-5 as it passed through the Guamasa area, within the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna. (Tenerife), when one of them was traveling in the opposite direction.
According to the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 112, members of the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium secured the two accident vehicles and freed an occupant from inside one of the cabins.
Thus, the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) treated the man, who suffered serious injuries to his lower limbs, for which he was stabilized and transferred in a medicalized ambulance to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital.
Meanwhile, the woman also suffered severe polytrauma, which is why she was transferred in another ambulance to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.
For its part, the Civil Guard made the report of the accident and the staff of the Highway Maintenance Service carried out cleaning work on the road.
