The IASS will allocate 80,000 euros to the social integration of young people left in care after reaching the age of majority. The grants also seek to support close people to respond to the needs of these children and facilitate family reintegration. The councilor of Social Action of the Cabildo, Marián Franquet, explains that the game seeks to prevent people who leave the protection system of the reception regime from feeling helpless or vulnerable.
Franquet explains that in the case of minor users who are in a situation of helplessness or residential care, these aids will go to those relatives or close people who will be in charge of their guardianship. “The objective is to meet the different needs of boys and girls to promote their reintegration into families,” says Franquet.
With regard to young people in care who have reached the age of majority within the protection system, these aids aim to contribute to their social integration, as well as to avoid situations of need or social emergency.
Franquet alludes to the promotion of the independence of these people and assures that “we must be a springboard to help them achieve their aspirations and integrate in the best way in society”.
The application model and the bases are available to those interested in the General Registry of the IASS, on the web or at the Citizen Services Center of the Cabildo. The term will remain open until October 31 and will be resolved before December 4.
