Los Realejos opens the deadline to register carts and carts in their May pilgrimages

The Municipality of Los Realejos This Thursday, April 21, 2021, the deadline for the registration of carts, floats and power tillers opens in the regional pilgrimage in honor of San Isidro, which is celebrated on May 29, and in the small pilgrimage, scheduled for May 15. Documentation must be submitted online, through the municipal website or in person at the Municipal House of Culture, on Tres de Mayo Avenue. The application period begins today and ends on May 6. The capacity of the regional pilgrimage has been limited to 100 vehiclesbetween carts, floats and power tillers.

The Realejoswhich continues with the preparations for its May 2022 Festivities and the return to festive normality prior to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Covid-19 encourages all those who wish to participate in these celebrations to complete the registration form, which they can pick up at the Municipal House of Culture or download from the municipal website, and submit all the required documentation. Furthermore, they are requested toensure compliance with the rules for the correct development of these long-awaited festive events, the ornamentation of carts and floats, the proper use of traditional clothing and compliance with security requirements.

Councilor for Festivals Municipality of Los Realejos, Jose David Cabrera (PP)confirmed at the end of March that the intention of the municipal government is to “recover normality” in the next edition of the May festivitieswhich means the return to the streets of the northern municipality of the crosses and the fires from day 3; the magicians’ dance on Saturday 21, and the pilgrimage in honor of San Isidro Labrador on Sunday 29 May, on the day before the canaries day.

The Realejos It is the first municipality of Orotava Valley that will recover its major festivals after the end of the toughest restrictions due to the pandemic.
