SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug 30 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Last Tuesday, the National Police located a British tourist in the vicinity of Tenerife Sur Airport when he was trying to fly to his country of origin despite having a positive antigen test for coronavirus.

The young man, a minor and on vacation on the island, was accompanied by his father and grandfather and had escaped through the window of a health center when an antigen test was performed and he learned that his result was positive in order to circumvent the application of the corresponding protocol.

These facts were communicated to the Aena security department, and once the National Police had been informed, a security device was established and the airport doors closed, a device in which, in addition to the agents belonging to the Reina Sofía Airport Border Post National police from the South Tenerife National Police Station collaborated.

Once the young man was located – who had bought a new plane ticket and anticipating the return date – he proceeded to his isolation as he was infected by Covid-19, and he was informed of the obligation to immediately start a quarantine of 10 days in a hotel room where you are staying.

The health, judicial and fiscal authorities were informed of what had happened to monitor them and take the appropriate measures.

The actions have been carried out by national police officers from the Reina Sofía Airport Border Post.
